As a mother and physiotherapist, my journey began nine years ago when my son faced challenges with spelling. I realized that our education system lacked the resources to offer enduring solutions for language learning. After nine years of research, I determined that phonetics is the cornerstone and the optimal starting point.

Every step of this journey has been thrilling, and it brings me great joy to offer children the opportunity to appreciate and analyse languages deeply. I subscribe to the “golden thread” theory, which advocates for a consistent curriculum from grade R to grade 12, enabling each child to advance at their own pace.

It’s an honour to accompany you on this journey.

I am a homeschooling mother with over two decades of experience in successfully guiding my three children through their educational journeys. Two of my children have already completed their university education, while my youngest is still pursuing their studies.

My teaching approach is grounded in the belief that education should not just train learners to recite answers, but instead prepare them for life on multiple levels. Throughout my years of homeschooling, I have gained considerable knowledge and developed a strong affinity for unit studies. This approach combines practical and abstract learning, fosters critical thinking skills, and ensures that each child understands and retains the material being taught.

In addition to my homeschooling journey, I have also served as an educational toy consultant, workshop facilitator, and homeschool group activity coordinator. These experiences have further strengthened my belief that intelligent play is a vital component of learning.

I am passionate about making learning enjoyable and firmly believe that understanding a child’s unique learning style is crucial. As ‘n ervare tuisskool-ma van 20 jaar, met drie kinders wat hul skoolloopbane voltooi het, waarvan twee reeds Universiteitsgrade behaal het en die jongste nog studeer, het ek steeds ‘n passie om nuwe inligting op kreatiewe maniere aan te bied. Dit verseker dat leerders toegerus word vir die lewe, nie net om antwoorde te herhaal nie. Ek het baie geleer deur my eie kinders se tuisskooljare en koester daarom ‘n liefde vir eenheidstudies. Hierdie benadering integreer die praktiese met die abstrakte en bevorder gelyktydig kritiese denke, sodat elke kind kan verstaan en onthou wat hulle leer.

My ervaring na skool as ‘n konsultant vir opvoedkundige speelgoed, die aanbieding van werkswinkels, en later as koördineerder van tuisskoolgroep-aktiwiteite, het my laat besef dat speel ‘n integrale deel van leer is.

Leer is aangenaam wanneer ouers elke kind se unieke leerstyl verstaan. Dit is my passie om ouers te help en te bemagtig in hierdie leerproses, om sodoende te verseker dat elke kind hul volle potensiaal kan bereik.
